As previously announced, the JICA-sponsored Serbia iteration of JICA’s Global Project NINJA (Next Innovation with Japan)(*1), an Eastern Europe-, Serbia-centered pitch event for startups in the ICT space, was successfully held on 3rd February 2023.
The pitch event commenced with an address from the Ambassador of Japan in Serbia, Mr Takahiko Katsumata, as well as from Ms Aleksandra Kovač, the Ambassador of Serbia in Japan.
Prior to the pitch event, on 28th January 2023, the seminar “How to Make it in Asia from Serbia” was held and graced by Ms Jelena Begovic, the Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation. Additionally, the seminar was also participated by Enterprise Singapore(*2), as well as by Global Catalyst Partners Japan(*3), presenting an invaluable opportunity for Serbian companies and startups to showcase their attractiveness to Asian markets.
AAIC Investment also supported the success of both events. Handa, from AAIC Investment, participated as a speaker.
The details of the event have been published on the website of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Serbia, as well as reported by various local media, including the Serbian news TV.
