Singapore -29th May 2025 – Rology, the leading FDA-cleared teleradiology platform in the MEA region, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Graduate School of Information Science at the University of Hyogo, Japan. Held in Japan, the signing ceremony initiates a strategic academic-industry partnership to enhance the global radiology ecosystem through collaborative research and development.
AAIC has invested Rology as Africa Healthcare Fund 1.
This MoU establishes a collaborative framework aimed at jointly promoting data-driven research and the development of innovative technologies in the field of AI-powered medical image analysis. It represents an important step toward bridging the gap between cutting-edge academic research and clinical application. Rology will provide anonymized, accumulated radiological datasets, while the University of Hyogo will contribute research infrastructure and academic expertise.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Yoshi Fujiwara , Dean of the Graduate School of Information Science at the University of Hyogo, and Moaaz Hossam , Co-founder and Chief Business Officer of Rology. Distinguished guests included Prof. Izuru KIMURA , Director General of JICA Kansai; Prof. Essam Rashed of the University of Hyogo; and Mr. Shigeru Handa , Director of AAIC Investment and a board member at Rology.
Rology has also been selected as one of the solutions-oriented companies in Africa, which are focused on tackling regional challenges, including health care, food storage and banking services.
